June 15th 2009 Polaris RZR S

Almost a year after releasing the RZR, Polaris is anew taking the side-by-side industry by storm with an new Ranger for 2009 and an exciting variation on the RZR. With the RZR still being comparatively fresh and the prior Ranger still vending consistently in the All Terrain Vehicle industry, we were not anticipating much new creation from Polaris in 2009. However, thankfully they were incorrect.

The Polaris RZR is an amazing two seater, targeted directly for trail, sport and hunting application. It has basically no linear competition in the sport industry at this moment. It is unique because the 50 inch position formulates it ATV-trail legal. Polaris was capable of attaining this by mounting the motor transversely in the frame, behind the chairs - unlike the the Yamaha Rhino or Kawasaki Teryx that have the engine positioned against the frame, in between the seats. While the regular RZR is a phenomenal vehicle for trail riding, its narrow posture does forfeit some control and side-hill stability.
